A month at Red C

Abi shares all about her first month at Red C….

“I have been at Red C for a while now, so thought I’d share how I’ve found my apprenticeship so far and how I got on in my first month.

This time last year I wasn’t too sure about what I’d be doing after finishing my A Levels. With most of my friends heading to university, which I knew wasn’t for me, I decided to look into apprenticeships. I soon discovered this would be a great way to get a head start on my career by learning hands on.

Arch Apprenticeships set me up with an interview here at Red C, where I met Steven, Head of Digital. He gave me an insight into what Red C does and we discussed what I was interested in doing. I was delighted to be invited back for a second interview with himself and Jennie, Head of Creative.

They offered me a unique experience, in which I would be involved in numerous creative areas of the agency, including digital and design. How could I say no? I was over the moon and eager to start.

On my first day, I was introduced to all of the team who were extremely welcoming and seemed like a fun bunch. I was shown around the office and eased into creative life at Red C towers. A great first experience for me, was visiting one of the TV shoots that Red C were working on for the Grattan TV advert. This was an amazing opportunity and it was fascinating to learn about all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes.

Since then I’ve been involved in so many more exciting projects. I’ve already worked with a wide-range of Red C clients, such as, Greene King, Jet 2 and Manchester City Football Club. Everyone at Red C has been very helpful and I’ve already learnt so much – I know this will be an invaluable experience.

My first month at Red C flew by and opened my eyes to life at a fast paced marketing agency. I can’t wait to see what else my apprenticeship has in store.”
