I try to keep fit by aiming to get to the gym after work although I am just about making it there 2-3 times a week at the moment!  Going home to Southport every few weeks for the football with my Grandad to watch Liverpool FC is something I love especially when we are doing well (currently are). Walks on the beach with the dogs and spending time with my family.

How will this Red C experience help you back at university?

I enjoy most the variety of tasks and opportunities to learn and develop within the industry. Being surrounded by a wealth of marketing knowledge and experience has been and will be very beneficial for me during my final year of university and going forward in the future.

What have you learnt so far within your role?

No one day is ever the same!

Describe your experience so far in three words?

In my spare time, I like to keep active by going to the gym and taking my adorable Labradoodle, Freddie, for long walks. However on Fridays, I love nothing more than treating myself to a Papa Johns ‘Garden Party’ pizza. And in between all that, you’ll find me perfecting my campaign to be a Rochdale ambassador.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

I have already learnt so much at Red C, which will help me when I’m burying my head in books back at university. I’ll be able to relate my experiences in the marketing industry to university research and projects. Plus, spending a year in a fast paced working environment will also help me in the future when looking for graduate jobs.

How would you describe the team at Red C?

The team at Red C are extremely friendly and helpful. They are really invested in my professional development, as well as encouraging me to get involved in social aspects of working life – from Red C Book Club to our new curry nights! From the get-go, everyone has made me feel welcome – I remember at my first interview, every single employee that past me at reception offered to make me a drink!

Describe your experience so far in three words?

Enlightening, Informative, Super-(califragilisticexpialidocious).

Despite having no legitimate hobbies I seem to keep myself busy during the week and weekends. I love to read and am an avid member of the Red C book club. We nominate a book to read every month and upon finishing attend a lunch together to discuss it. It’s a great scheme that encourages cross-departmental interaction and promotes diverse and honest discussion.  This weekend I’m attending Cheltenham Literature Festival to see Derren Brown and Vivienne Westwood. I’m really hoping to take away a lot from it.

Best experience so far at Red C?

Having already mentioned this in my Red C blog, I must say being able to see the workings behind a TV ad was definitely the best experience so far. I was lucky enough to attend the TV shoot for Fashion World and watched the advert come to life in front of me. I loved seeing the incredible team work: creatives perfecting the shots, stylists matching the outfits and directors helping the models give their all. And if that wasn’t fabulous enough, I then was able to go to the voiceover with the actress Jill Halfpenny. She understood what we were after straight away and managed to get it all done in one take!

What is your biggest achievement whilst being at Red C?

Although a lot of the day-to-day tasks are a big achievement in their own respect, I feel that I have already come on leaps and bounds. My biggest achievement so far has to be sourcing research stimulus for a client. I was tasked with finding appropriate images that would be then used for market research. I was instrumental in sending over all the files and ensuring they were best for the client. It was a big task, but we got some really useful insights from the research, and some really positive client feedback, so I’d say it turned out really well!

Describe your experience so far in three words?

Provocative, beneficial and gratifying.

Luiza – Digital Designer

What do you do in your spare time?Luiza

In my spare time I play loads of video games, on all platforms, I do not have a preference or favourite.   I take photographs, maintain my blogs and social media accounts, I adore collecting visuals, and experimenting with new techniques in both digital and design.

If you were an animal, what would you be and why?

If I were an animal I would be a fish, because I love the ocean, love being underwater.

What do you most enjoy about Red C?

My favourite thing about Red C is the diverse set of skillset everyone has. You are not defined by your job title, and there is always a new challenge to overcome, something new to learn.

What do you think you have brought to Red C?

Wherever I go I bring my delightful sarcasm and quirky personality. I don’t know what to say to this one, umm? I have a random assortment of skills both tech-y and creative that just so happen to fit perfectly with what my team need!

What’s the most important consideration when sending emails?

I think the most important part of email development is keeping in mind what the responsive will look like and how it will work. Most emails nowadays are opened on phones or tablets rather than desktop, so a functioning responsive HTML is vital.

So far at Red C I have learnt a lot in so little time! I’ve learnt more on HTML and CSS and even some JavaScript!

Eat, drink, socialise, play music and exercise.

If you were an animal, what would you be and why?

I’d be a dog because there’s nothing better than a dog and everybody loves you unconditionally!

What made you pick Red C?

I’d wanted to work in agency for a while as they typically cover various aspects of marketing across their clients. But what made me choose Red C over a corporate company I interviewed for was their office environment, interesting clients, impressive portfolio and great people!

What have you achieved so far whilst at Red C?

Diving in head first: taking control of email strategies across two platforms, from brief to distribution; building positive relationships with clients; completing a mammoth SEO task 2 months before the deadline and being trusted to autonomously work on large tasks earlier than I’d anticipated.
